Tiger roar!

This layout is in celebration of the year of tiger.. Zareef vs the tiger.. Yeah, Zareef won! haha.. Here is a simple layout of Zareef playing with the giant toy tiger in the studio. I ran out of suitable embellies, so I left it quite bare. How I wish I have a die-cut machine! hehe.. This layout is inspired by Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #186. I tried to play with paint a bit, but that didn't worked out. :)) Happy Sunday, everyone!

Man of honor

Another long weekend, yey! Hope for more scrapping time..:) Here is a layout inspired by Scrapping The Music, with a song from Ben Harper, Better Way. It has a lot of motivating lyrics, and I think it kind of matched with these photos of dear hubby. Does he looks dashing? :) I used part of the lyrics as the journaling.. "You have a right to your dreams, and don't be denied". It is very fitting as my hubby is a very ambitious person, and I believe he can do anything his heart desires.

I am following this lovely sketch from Pencil Lines Sketch #175. Played more with stamps this time, and love how they complement the background. I find it hard to use my stamps, I always bring them out but never used them in the end. I found that stamps are flat and uninterested. Need to learn tips to make them more interesting! :) TFL!

Lucky to have you

I would like to share another layout.. this time is from Creative Scrappers Sketch #92. Always love sketches from July Gaceta! I scrapped this picture of Zara mocking Zareef snoring in the car. It is so funny how she did it, complete with sound and 'muncung'. I used the Prima packaging again, they are just so versatile and useful. Love the subdued feel of this layout too. TFL!

Sweet thing called love

My husband requested me to scrap a layout of him and his little princess, making me realized that I seldom scrap them together! (Sorry, dear). So, here is a layout of daddy's girl with her ayah. Using pictures from our studio shoots again, capturing sweet moments between a father and his daughter. They just looked so cute together! I chose these papers that are not too girlish nor masculine, plus it matched his bright orange shirt. The layout is based on Twisted Sketch #36. TFL!

moments like this

Happy weekend, everyone! I like to share another layout of mine, this time inspired by Sketchabilities February 14th reveal. Love the layering of papers and photos in the sketch. The Bo Bunny Love Bandit collection is just too cute and adorable!

These pictures are of course, from our recent studio shoot (still has a lot more to scrap!). The theme is perfect for These Are a Few of My Favorite Things challenge, which is to our scrap favorite memories. Without doubt, this is one of my favorite memories, having fun as a family in the studio, making me realized how blessed I am. TFL!!

I could not ask for more

Another layout to share, I completed during last long weekend. This time, I am playing along with Scrapping The Music. I have been hovering around the site for a while, but the turnaround was so fast that I can't manage to join them. But I have to join this one, as I love the song... "I could not ask for more". It has many romantic and scrappable lyrics! Check out the cool LOTR video version. Weird, but a great one to match the song. What is more perfect than a picture of me and hubby, with some flowers and love stickers? :D The sketch this time is provided by Pencil Lines Sketch #174. TFL!

The ever lovely (and silly) Zara

Greetings everyone! Here is a girly layout of our Zara. It is based on an interesting string of challenges from Lets Capture These Sketches. They are having challenges based on Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. How interesting is that? I choose the Dopey challenge, which is to create a layout using their sketch that is silly or funny. So I scrapped these pictures of Zara making silly faces. She always like to make cute faces, especially after being scolded. Nobody can stay angry with these cute faces! Well, sometimes I can! :)

This layout is also inspired by Are You Feeling Groovie February challenge. The groovie challenge this month is celebrating spring, with lots of flowers, birds and butterflies. You also have to use pink (my fav!) & yellow in your layouts. This is a new combination, but I think everything is nice next to pink! Haha.. I love how this turned out. The Crate Paper bright pink background is really awesome, like screaming spring at you! The tiara, fairy and pink mask on Zara are from a recent Scrap the Girls fairy tale swap. Aren't they lovely?? TFL!!

Cheeky boy

Long weekend is ending.. :( but we had a relaxing and very enjoyable weekend when it's the first time that hubby is not on shift during long weekend! Anyway, I like to share a simple layout of Zareef, inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch #91. Love these bright papers from October Afternoon, and how it matched with these fun stickers from K&Co. Thanks for dropping by!

peaceful badak air

One more layout I did a while back.. this one for ARTastic February challenge. It was inspired by Mary Cassatt's painting, The Bath. Check out the site, it is very interesting and has a lot of monthly giveaways! It is a painting of a mother bathing her child, but for me, I scrapped this picture of my hubby and friends lying down in the icy water of Janda Baik. I am inspired by the soft pastel colors of the painting. I like to depict the peacefulness and serenity of the painting, similar to this picture. I keep the colors soft and the layout simple.. I don't usually do soft colors, so I have limited pastel-y stash.. :) Hope you enjoy it.. TFL!!

Crop party @ Papier

Happy Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day everyone!!!! Great long weekend, and I plan to just stay at home and scrap some more :) This entry is long overdue but here it goes.. It is about the crop party I attended at Papier 2 weeks ago. Of course, Jessy was hosting again, and boy, we sure had fun! This time I am much prepared (after being teased before of bringing a cartload of stuff!), and brought just enough stuff for the party. It was a good crowd.. everyone is relaxing and enjoying themselves (plus panicking at some times)..

The first challenge is of course, the tag challenge. We have to create name tags for the person to our left. I came in late and did one in a rush, that I created for the wrong person! Luckily, I can just changed the name. The tag was really simple.. mine is for jo below.. I used Nikki Sivils cut out tag. My tag was created by Maznah.. also known as Maz. That's why you see you 'Maz' tags! I wonder why most people use pink in their tag. It's pink and red theme anyway for the party!!

After the tags are done, we were on our first challenge, which was to create a layout based on a song. I chose to scrap my children dancing and banging the drums in the studio. Jessy gave great ideas by sharing songs from her iPhone. So, what's more perfect than "I love to.. move it!!" They just loved the song, we played the song over and over and over again (glad that the phase was over). Here we were, busy at work...

And here is my first challenge layout.. love the bright colors, as always :))

The second and last challenge is a bit tougher. We have to create layouts using 6 items from Jessy's long list of scrapping items. I chose to use 3 patterned paper (Jessy was strict about this.. hehe), inks (I used distress ink to ink the paper edges), buttons, red (the strawberries are red), handwritten journaling, and stickers. I used the lovely Nook & Pantry papers from Basic Grey. I realized that the papers matched this picture of Zareef and hubby picking strawberries at Cameron Highlands. So here's my layout..

All in all, we had fun! It's great to mingle with other scrappers once in a while. Will surely join again! Here is the group photo of us gals.. courtesy of Jessy again.. :))) Thanks for all the fun, Jessy!! TFL and have a great new year ahead!
