Hey peeps... hope you had a great weekend.. We just had Zareef's 6th birthday party today and it was totally awesome!! I made the right choice to have it at ever realiable McDonalds cause I don't have to do anything, which is awesome! The kids had lots of fun and thank god I didn't have the party in my house as the kids will surely bring it down to pieces! :) My heart warmed to know that Zareef has lots of friends that adore him now.. Surely so much different than when we arrived here a year ago.. just 4 of us celebrating with a slice of cake and no friends yet.. Happy Birthday Zareef Boy!!
OK.. enough rambling :) Here's a layout I did today... This one is for Scrap-It-Lah June challenge, which is to scrap of things we can't do without.. So obviously I can't live without my family :) The journaling may be a bit cheesy as I am bad with words but I meant what I wrote.. :)))))
This layout is inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch#160. Love how unique this sketch is.. I also joined Candy Shoppe Designs 2nd June challenge, which is to scrap summer pictures! This picture is from our Tasmania trip.. Such great moments.. love our holiday there.. I think we need more holiday!!!
Thanks again for visiting.. Don't forget to join with me in Sketchabilities and also Scrap It With A Song challenges.. :))

Dora party
How was your week so far? Mine has been good, hooray that hubby is home! :)) Another layout to share today, this one is for Scrap-It-Lah April challenge. Did you know that they are having their 2nd anniversary bash in April? They have not only one, or two, or three, but SEVEN challenges!!!! Each challenge last for 7 days. This means SEVEN RAKS! So go check them out!
The 1st challenge is by DT Wati, which is to create a layout of birthdays. Perfect! I have these pictures from Zara's birthday party in January that I wanted to scrap and also put into a mini. Zara really likes Dora so we had a Dora party. A great Dora ice cream cake with lots of Dora party stuffs too.. :))
Finally managed to use these box stickers that I had for ages!
Added some stickles around the stickers to add some glitter
Glad that I managed to use some leftover stickers from the party.. perfect!
Thanks again for dropping by!

SIL Feb challenge ~ wonder*us
It has been a slow start to the week. It felt like freezing when I was talking to the train station this morning. Where has our summer gone to? I never experienced summer in Melbourne before, but people said it is unusually cool this summer, for which I am glad :) Yeap, for a person from a country hot all year round, I don't like hot weather!
Anyway, here is another layout I did yesterday. This one is for Scrap-It-Lah February challenge. It is an interesting challenge for Valentine month, which is to create a lovey-dovey layout without using any reds, pinks or any shades in between. SIL has been my first DT assignment, and of course is special to me. The DTs are my friends and love what they are creating for SIL!! Keep it up, girls!
It is a tricky but clever challenge, as most of lovey-dovey stuffs that I have are in reds and pinks. Nevertheless, I managed to produce this layout using blue and tan theme colors. I kept it simple so the Kaiserkraft background paper can shine, second to our picture of course :)
Lovin these chipboard stickers I bought (cheap) from SpotLight, perfect for this theme.
The butterflies added life to the layout, which are always my favourite embellies :) Also added a bead string to add texture.
The title wonder*us or wonderous means marvellous or great. Also can means wonder-us, like wonderman.. he he he.. Yeap, I am making these up :)
Here to a better Tuesday! Until tomorrow for the next reveal :))

SIL May challenge - PLAY
With great sadness, this is my last reveal for Scrap-It-Lah. With a heavy heart, I am stepping down as SIL design team, as I am moving to a new place soon. I am afraid that I won't have time to scrap while settling things down. Even now, I already packed up my scrappy stuffs, and I do missed scrapping a lot :(
Anyway, back to the challenge... This May we have another great sketch from Jessy. It is a multi photo sketch; so versatile that you can twist it to your likings. Here I scrapped our recent holiday photos from Pangkor. I love how Zareef and Zara being playful in front of the camera! I used Crate Paper's Boyfriend collection fun cutouts, which suit the pics perfectly.
And don't forget, winners for our April birthday bash challenges were announced on SIL site. Do check it out!!

SIL March challenge & additional RAK to be won!
What? It's already March? Where had January & February been? :) Anyway, this March at Scrap-It-Lah, it's all about holiday escapades! Just scrapped that holiday photos you've been wanting to scrap. Here I scrapped our recent family gathering at Tampin camp. It has been years since we met and it was wonderful to catch up with my cousins and aunties. Plus, the pool with natural river water there is ohh so cool and fun! Here are pictures of us (well, not me as I am taking the pictures) jumping together into the pool. It took several attempt to get these pictures. Still not perfect timing but this is good enough I think!!! :)))
Now, Scrap-It-Lah is offering additional RAK this month just by putting up our new blinkie in your blog! It is super easy and you have a chance to win delicious Dear Izzy collection. Check out the details at the site and do check out other DT's wonderful creations. We also have a new and fresh look, which is great! :))

SIL Feb Oriental Love Challenge
It's February, and what a great way to celebrate February with Oriental Love theme, with Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day around the corner. At Scrap-It-Lah this February, the challenge is simple, which is to create layouts with combincation of chinese/oriental and valentine's day/romance/love theme. It is also coincidence that Valentine's Day and CNY falls on the same day this year.
For me, I scrapped these awesome photos of Zareef kungfu fighting. He was wearing his concert attire and was really in the character during the photo shoot. That was one awesome flying kick and jump, Zareef! I used the SnC CNY kit, and love the vibrant and energetic colors of the kit, which suit the pics perfectly. Especially love the laser cut Chinese papers. The layout turned out to be 90% Chinesey and only 10% lovey-dovey.. at least I have gold hearts.. :) TFL!

To start off 2010 is a sketch challenge by Jessy! Love this multiphoto sketch, perfect for my pictures from recent studio shooting. I scrap these pictures of me and hubby. SIL December challenge - Tough Guy
It's December already! Can't believe how fast time flies.. Soon, it's gonna be 2010! Anyway, for December, Yatie came up with a great challenge for Scrap-It-Lah. We have to do a layout that incorporate these things:
I don't usually use B&W photos, as I usually send my photos to print in bulk at the print store. So, for this challenge, I used my dusty printer that haven't been used in ages. I barely have enough ink to print these photos of Zareef. Lucky it turned out OK!
I like how this one turned out, and it has deep meaning to me too. Zareef is a big boy now (he really is maturing a bit). The quote in this layout is really an advice from me to Zareef, so he can be adventurous, brave, and explore the world with an open mind; Do the best in everything he does, better than anyone else. Just go for it!
Hope you join us in this challenge. Do check out the awesome DT take on this one!

SIL November Challenge
How time flies and it's already November!!! Another interesting challenge at Scrap-It-Lah. We are honored to have the lovely Wati Basri as our Guest Designer for this month, and she came up with a really unique challenge, which to do a layout with S-I-L in the title. I have to fork my brain out to come out with an appropriate title, and in the end, it's my husband who found the perfect title for my layout, Sayang Itu Love . Love this picture of the kids chillin' at the poolside after a day in the pool. We were at Pullman Putrajaya, running away from the hustle of the city.
Hope that you can join us for this month's challenge. We love to see more entries!!!

Scrap-It-Lah Simple challenge
At Scrap-it-Lah this October, we have a Simple challenge. The challenge is really simple, we are to include the word "Simple" in our layouts. I scrapped this cute picture of my babies sleeping in the car. It was funny to see them slanting dreamily in unison, aren't they just adorable? They looked so peaceful, so worry-free.... As a kid, life is so simple. That is my theme for this layout. These My Little Shoebox papers are cute too, don't you think?
Come and join us at Scrap-It-Lah, yummy RAK awaits the winner!!!!

And oh, I won the September Groovie challenge! Yey! Thanks Aniza for picking my LO as the winner..

Scrap-It-Lah September challenge
For this month of September, the challenge at Scrap-It-Lah is to use 70% of our favorite manufacturer products in a layout. It is perfect time to use my DT kit, Basic Grey June Bug collection, courtesy of Michelle (Thanks dear!). I just love the vibrant colors of the collection. At first I was overwhelmed by the bright colors and not quite sure how to use them, but I like how this one turned out. Come and join us at Scrap-It-Lah this September, lovely RAK awaits the winner!!
