Make A Wish

Happy Anzac Day! Honestly I don't know much on what the day means, besides that it's a public holiday. My kids are educating us on what it means. Any Aussies out there that can educate me further, please feel free to do so... :)

SO, I spent the whole free day relaxing at home. Well, we did come cleaning the house in the morning. One good thing I just found out is that Zareef actually enjoyed mopping the floor!!! He mopped the whole house today. Great job, Zareef! ;)

I got a lot of comments complimenting the photos that I used to scrap. I can't take the credits because those awesome pictures are taken by my hubby. He picked up photography about 2 years ago, so that I can have cool and nice pictures to scrap. He just started a photo blog, Zu Photos. Please drop by if you like the photos that I scrapped ;) He improved a lot and the photos he took are getting better by day.. not to mention his lense collection.. LOL

I managed to whip a layout out today. It is inspired by From Screen 2 Scrap Ever After challenge. The criteria is to use bling, fairy tale title and journaling. I chose these pictures of Zara's birthday cupcakes that I made for her 4th birthday. She is totally 100% princess, and I just wish her the best in life :) I used Let's Capture These Sketches Sketch #129 for this one. It is just perfect for the layout..

It's great to have a mid-week break, only now I feel like it's Saturday and tomorrow is Sunday! Thanks so much for visiting.. :)

Cuppa @ Ruapehu

It's almost Friday, Yippieeee!!! Today's layout is inspired from ARTastic food theme challenge, scrapping a picture from our New Zealand trip last summer. We were having brunch on top of Mt Ruapehu, the highest cafe in North Island (or New Zealand?). Hubby took this lovely picture of our cuppa.. lovely lovely day that was...

I used Let's Capture These Sketches Sketch #127 for this layout. Love the simplicity of this sketch, which inspired me to keep this layout simple and clean. I had fun playing with bubble wrap, stamping and doodling for this one. It kinda reminded me of high school. Plus, it was a quickie too :)

Thanks for visiting.. :)

Such a Charmer

Hello everyone! I feel like I've abandoned the site for a long time. Since the kids started ballet and soccer, our Saturday mornings are busy. With housework, laundry, ironing, yadda yadda.. I barely have time to scrap. SO, I am SO glad that it is now school holiday here in Victoria!!! Hip, Hip, Hooray!!! Usually I don't like school holiday as everywhere will be crowded, but now it means free weekends!!! And 5 (yes, 5 for us!!!) days weekend is coming up in Friday.

OK, I am already looking forward for Easter Friday. Plus, I managed to whipped this layout out. It is inspired by Bird is The Word Charm challenge. I used Let's Capture the Sketches Sketch #126 for this layout. Here are pictures of Zara being a charmer at Brighton Beach :) Hope you enjoy it!

Have a great week ahead.. Look out for a GD reveal from me soon! ;) And oh, this layout won Get Picky inspiration challenge.. Thanks, guys!

Waves

I am too tired to write much.. Zumba kinda killed me tonight.. (I'm getting old!)

Anyway, this layout is made for From Screen 2 Scrap. They have The Day After Tomorrow movie poster as inspiration. Kind of crappy movie (in my opinion) but the poster is nice. We have to do a monotone white with a touch of blue, one photo and white title. I used Let's Capture These Sketches sketch for this one.

A simple one.. I'm beginning to love painting in layouts.. expect to see more! :)

Off to Perth tomorrow...  Thanks for visitin'!!

Well,  it's February people! And most challenges are all about LOVE :) Here's one for ARTastic challenge. February brings a challenge based on Heart & Soul painting by Brenda York. The criteria this is red hearts, B&W photo and red monotone with a touch of green. I used Lets' Capture These Sketches #118 for this layout..

I re-scrap this photo cause I love it so much. It is really simple, but I like how it turned out.. :)

Thank you for visiting. Hope you are having a great weekend so far!

Great shot again, dear hubby! :) The title is again from Glee.. love that song, and if you're a Gleek like me, you love the scene too! :)) This picture kinda reminded me of the song.. I used Capture These Sketches #93 for this one..

Best Mates

Happy weekend everyone!!! I just got back from a field trip down at Cape Liptrap.. awesome outcrops at the sea cliffs and thankful that we got a bit of sunshine too. Here is one of the cool outcrop there.. fascinating even to a non-geologist I think! :))

Ok, back to the other fun stuff... scrapbooking! Wanna share a layout I did today, based on Let's Capture These Sketches #75. I scrapped these pictures of my kids with Zara's best mate, Aria during our last playdate picnic at the Royal Botanic Garden. They looked so cute together!! Plus, these papers from Cosmo Cricket Togetherness collection are just so cute and fun too!!

The chipboard stickers are also so cute! The rabbits are just perfect for picnic in the garden, right? :)))

Used a lot of bead swirls to express sense of movement of the butterflies... Love how it tie everything together!

Thanks for visiting!!!! Hope I will have some scrappy hours tomorrow too :))

X for Xcitement!

Another reveal today.. this time a simple layout, one I whipped last minute late Sunday evening, salvaging the remaining minutes of daylight.. hehe.

This one was inspired by a sketch from Lets Capture These Sketches. I also join in Scrapbookers Anonymous February challenge, which was to include as many Xs in your layout. Cool, as I don't think I ever used X in my layout before! These pictures of my kids jumping are pure Xcitement. I added another X so I have 2 Xs!

Love these bright color papers from Nikki Sivils, and really glad that I get to destash these papers! (Yeap, more room for new papers :)) Aren't they pretty? At first I had a hard time finding an appropriate background paper. At last I decided to use black cardstock. As I don't like plain cardstock as a background, I painted the edges white. Love how it looked like a blackboard, and I think black makes the papers pop out more too..

Glad to find thickers that match the paper colors..

Some close up shots.. Sorry for the poor quality picture. As I said, it was getting dark when I was finished with this layout :)

Capture These Sketches #35 - Stunning

Hi ya'all... here is my last layout as Guest Designer for Lets Capture These Sketches. Thank you for having me as GD, and I really enjoyed joining up with other DTs to complete all the layouts for April. Here we have a lovely sketch by Ann. I scrapped this lovely picture of Zara looking stunning as ever. We were on our way to Pangkor when hubby took this picture.

p/s: have already packed all my scrapping goodies, so am not scrapping anymore.. at least for a while. Still have a couple of layouts for my DT assignments left to upload. Hopefully once I settled in my new place, I will scrap again :)))

Capture These Sketches #34 - SAD

Hey.. sorry I have been busy (and lazy) to scrap lately, where I scrap only my assignments. My mojo is also is thinning lah! So here's another entry as a April Guest Designer for Lets Capture These Sketches. Lovin this simple sketch by Guylaine, and I am keeping the layout clean and simple too. Here is a picture of Zareef looking so sad. I don't remember exactly why, but I can guess that he was sad to be left behind. I love these chipboards from Crate Papers, as I've been using them again and again. Plus, I think the clouds with the raindrops suit the picture perfectly. TFL!!
