that look

It has been a while since my last entry, I have been busy, plus we just got back from a brief holiday at Pangkor Island last weekend. It was a great and relaxing break for the whole family! Here I would like to share a layout I did yesterday. The layout was inspired by ARTastic March challenge, which is an Art Nouveau poster by Alphonso Muscha. I love everything about this poster; the cholocatey-pink color scheme, the intricate flowery details and the circular frame around the lady.

There are bonus criteria of using a photo cutout, make a halo out of flowers and use Art Neaveau style (whatever that is.. hehe). So I scrapped this "mysterious" picture of Zara, and using the doiley that was used to masked a previous layout. I am misting again, and loving the effect; and with the combination of the flowery rub-ons, I got the "Reverie" feeling (I think).

April is gonna be a month full of activities!!! Scrap-It-Lah is having its first anniversary and we have lots of fun challenges in tow. Do visit us next month to find out more! Also my first reveal with Sketchabilities will be on April 15. Plus, I am also guest designers for 2 other blogs in April. Busy month for me!! :)) Do check it out next week!! Lovey dovey mini album

Here is an album I did for a client for Valentine's Day. I know it's been a month since then, but I didn't get a chance to upload it to the blog. The client wanted a lovey-dovey album, especially made as a gift to her boyfriend. So, I made one pinkish cholocatey chipboard album, using lots of puffy hearts and lovey dovey stickers. She also requested an empty page for this year's valentine pic. I really hope that she likes it, and hope her boyfriend will cherish it forever. They do seems like a cute couple in their pics. :))

Make a wish, Zara!!

Two months had passed since she turned two. Here is a layout of our Zara's 2nd birthday, fresh from the oven! We celebrated it twice; one at Lola's and one at our home. How lucky is she, to have two cakes for her 2nd birthday? :))) This layout is inspired by Sketchabilities Sketch #11. I love the sketches from there, makes multi-photos layout, which usually scares me, so much easier!! I am playing with misting and masking again. I just love how it makes white blank papers look pretty :) I also used my Stickles to create those swirls...

Have a nice weekend, everyone. I am off to Lola's house again.. And Oh, hang on tight, I will announce the winner for my giveaway soon! :))

Sassy girl

Just a friendly reminder, my 100th layout giveaway is closing soon. I will draw the winner on March 15th 2010!!! Thanks for all the nice comments, I really appreciate it!! Do hop on here to join in the giveaway!!!

I forgot to upload this layout that I made a couple of weeks ago! Here is another simple layout based on Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #187. I just love the Love Bandit papers & stickers from Bo Bunny. They are just too cute! This paper is especially pretty as it is, so I didn't cut it out as I initially planned. Here are pictures of our dear Zara, showing off her flexibility. It is amazing on how flexible they are at this age! TFL!!

Can't wait to be your best friend!

Happy weekend everyone!! Here is a layout fresh from the oven! This layout is inspired by Scrap The Girls Sex & The City poster challenge. I am inspired by the colors and the friendship theme. Also, These Are a Few of My Favorite Things are scrapping about favorite friends! What is more precious than having a daughter as your best friend? :) Thus, I scrapped this lovely picture of Zara in the studio. The sketch for this layout is from Twisted Sketches #39, with a fabric twist this time. TFL!!

Oh, I forgot to include this. It is a pleasant surprise to know that this layout won Groovie Cover February challenge! :))

Snow White challenges at LCTS

It had been fun times at Lets Capture These Sketches. They were having Snow White theme challenges all month long. I joined their Dopey challenge, and here is another two, the Happy and Sleepy challenges. For the Happy challenge, you to scrap layouts surrounding the word 'Happy'. What is more obvious than Happy Birthday? :) Here is a picture of my father-in-law, or Atok's birthday that we celebrated recently. I think he was very happy indeed, as all his grandkids are there to celebrate his birthday :) I just love this Making Memories papers, the snowflakes and all.. so magical! :))

Here is the layout for the Sleepy challenge, which to scrap surrounding the word 'Dream'. It is a picture of Zara sound asleep on his daddy. Isn't it precious? When my hubby saw I am scrapping this picture, he said that he likes the picture, saying that it is one of the best thing of being a father, having his kids sleep on him like this. I think that is sweet, so I incorporated his statement into the journaling :)) TFL!!

Show me your tummy!

Another simple layout from me.. this time is from Twisted Sketches #38. The twist this time is stripes. I am keeping these Basic Grey papers to scrap pictures of Zareef & Zara together. Aren't these papers just cute? It has a girl and a boy playing outside, just like my kids. Here Zareef & Zara were showing off their tummies. Zara will do anything that Zareef is doing!! LOL!

SIL March challenge & additional RAK to be won!

What? It's already March? Where had January & February been? :) Anyway, this March at Scrap-It-Lah, it's all about holiday escapades! Just scrapped that holiday photos you've been wanting to scrap. Here I scrapped our recent family gathering at Tampin camp. It has been years since we met and it was wonderful to catch up with my cousins and aunties. Plus, the pool with natural river water there is ohh so cool and fun! Here are pictures of us (well, not me as I am taking the pictures) jumping together into the pool. It took several attempt to get these pictures. Still not perfect timing but this is good enough I think!!! :)))

Now, Scrap-It-Lah is offering additional RAK this month just by putting up our new blinkie in your blog! It is super easy and you have a chance to win delicious Dear Izzy collection. Check out the details at the site and do check out other DT's wonderful creations. We also have a new and fresh look, which is great! :))
