Wild Ones

Hi everyone.. Weekend is ending.. :( We celebrated hubby's birthday on Saturday with a nice lunch and watched Disney on Ice (not his choice, just happened to fall on his birthday! LOL)

Anyway, I did a layout today. I totally abused the papers and tried to make it look a bit grunge to no success. I was inspired by Show Us Your Stuff July challenge, which is from a photo of an interesting typewriter. The paper I used matched the theme perfectly. I used PageMaps embellies sketch contest for this one (Check it out.. great prize!!)

I am also joining Scrap It With a Song "Wild Ones'. This picture is from our recent adventure to New Zealand, where we took the plunge into Lake Taupo. It was a crazily insane experience, one which I didn't regret at all!

Beautiful Day

Hey hey hey.. How's your Monday? The highlight of my day was when we danced through Glee's "We can't stop the beat" in Zumba today! Exactly like in the show, so that was fun :)

Here is another layout I want to share. Somehow this layout was inspired by multiple challenge. First being Frosted Designs 'Weather' challenge. Also for Scrap It With a Song "Beautiful Day" by U2.. Love that song.. :) These pictures are from our New Zealand trip at Pakiri Beach. The weather was picture perfect that evening and we had lots of fun with these shots :D

The colors of the layout were inspired by Challenge Me Happy poster challenge. Just love the bright pastel colors in the photos; and pink and turquoise are just perfect together. I also join ScrapFIT weekend warm-up #26 challenge, which is to scrap at least 4 photos. And lastly, I used Creative Scrappers Sketch #203 for inspiration ;)

Cuppa @ Ruapehu

It's almost Friday, Yippieeee!!! Today's layout is inspired from ARTastic food theme challenge, scrapping a picture from our New Zealand trip last summer. We were having brunch on top of Mt Ruapehu, the highest cafe in North Island (or New Zealand?). Hubby took this lovely picture of our cuppa.. lovely lovely day that was...

I used Let's Capture These Sketches Sketch #127 for this layout. Love the simplicity of this sketch, which inspired me to keep this layout simple and clean. I had fun playing with bubble wrap, stamping and doodling for this one. It kinda reminded me of high school. Plus, it was a quickie too :)

Our Journey

Happy Tuesday! Here's another layout to share. It is based on Bird is the Word "Journey" challenge. It is also fitting to combine with Get Picky holiday challenge. I want to scrap our latest New Zealand holiday but I haven't even gone through all the photos yet. So, I scrapped our last summer @ Tasmania instead. I used Sketchabilites #64 for this one. Hope you like it!

Spring Awakening

Today's layout is for the gorgeous spring weather we have today... to celebrate spring! Another layout of a picture without people... spring flowers! I was inspired by Get Picky August Inspiration, in celebration of Daffodil Day, which is cancer awareness day here in Australia. An excellent way to celebrate spring, right?

I know that I have to scrap this picture of wild flowers my hubby took near the Otways region. I love the papers from BG Curio collection. I like how this simple layout turned out, and love how the yellow frame makes the picture really pops :) I used Sketchabilities Sketch #54 for this layout.

Don't you just love yellow and green together? Fresh and very spring-like! :)

Blue Skies

Hello everyone! Winter has turned around again... no more sunshine, but rain, cold and strong wind instead.. :(( Too bad since it is school holiday now. Oh well, I want to share a layout I did last Sunday. Ironic the title doesn't reflect the weather now! Plus, this is my first layout scrapping non-people pictures!

The layout is inspired by Scrapping The Music "Blue Skies" challenge, hence the title. The pictures of Tassie beach and white sand just screamed Blue Skies at me.. hehe.. I am also joining color challenge at Challenge Me Happy 2nd challenge. The bright colors are so summery!! For this layout, I used Pencil Lines Sketch #244.

All That I Need

Hey peeps... hope you had a great weekend.. We just had Zareef's 6th birthday party today and it was totally awesome!! I made the right choice to have it at ever realiable McDonalds cause I don't have to do anything, which is awesome! The kids had lots of fun and thank god I didn't have the party in my house as the kids will surely bring it down to pieces! :) My heart warmed to know that Zareef has lots of friends that adore him now.. Surely so much different than when we arrived here a year ago.. just 4 of us celebrating with a slice of cake and no friends yet.. Happy Birthday Zareef Boy!!

OK.. enough rambling :) Here's a layout I did today... This one is for Scrap-It-Lah June challenge, which is to scrap of things we can't do without.. So obviously I can't live without my family :) The journaling may be a bit cheesy as I am bad with words but I meant what I wrote.. :)))))

This layout is inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch#160. Love how unique this sketch is.. I also joined Candy Shoppe Designs 2nd June challenge, which is to scrap summer pictures! This picture is from our Tasmania trip.. Such great moments.. love our holiday there.. I think we need more holiday!!!

Sketchabilities #49 - 1,2,3 JUMP!

Hello everyone! It's time for another Sketchabilities reveal... Here's Sketch #49.. love this one!!! I scrapped pictures of us at Manly Beach, Sydney. If you don't know already, we love to take jumping shots. The kids know the drill already, and they know when to jump.. Nevertheless, it is still hard to get the perfect shot with EVERYONE in the air! So here is us trying to get 'the' shot..

Used Nook May kit for this one.. love the brightness of the papers.. I want the PP to mimic the pictures.. at least try to.. :) So come and join us.. looking forward to see what you'll come up with the sketch.. :)

Holiday & Layout - Farewell

Hi everyone!!!! After a wonderful week at Tasmania and a couple of business trips to Perth later, I finally get to scrap. Not to mention, Zareef started Prep in primary school last week (yes, his first day of school, yeayyy!!!), and it has been a pretty hectic week indeed. But playing catch up, I did 2 layouts today!! (Which is a lot for me) :))

Anyway, Tassie was Beee-you-tee-full!!! We really enjoyed the turquoise water, fine white beaches, breathtaking views & sceneries and of course our motorhome too!! Ahhhh, wish we can have more time there.. Here is one of my favourite picture from Tassie. More pictures will come soon, hopefully in layouts (or mini albums)! :)))


And here is a layout I did today.. Really love this papers from Kaiserkraft, and it fits this picture of us with bibik from KL International Airport. Bibik is like a part of our family and had been with us since Zara was a baby... we surely missed her, not only because she took care of the housework, but the way she cared for Zareef and Zara that no child care can compare (except my mom, of course!).

This layout is inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch #141. Thanks to my friend Lynda for all the pretty Tupperware-full of flowers you gave me.. It fits really well in this layout :))))

Happy weekend everyone! Whilst busy preparation for our holiday trip this Tuesday, I managed to quickly scrapped this layout. This paper is just perfect for Zara, sweet and pink like her. Since the paper is pretty enough, I keep the embellies to the minimum. Here is a picture of Zara with beautiful flowers of spring at the Dandenong Ranges.

One more day to our first ever holiday outside Victoria. Can't hardly wait! :)))

Scrapperocks are back in action!

Hello Everyone! I am glad to update this blog after a longggg hiatus. Not sure if I have a lot of followers, but if you are one of them, sorry for the MIA!! It's been about 8 months since we touched down at Melbourne, and almost a year since I last scrapped! Well, a new year is a great time to start :) We settled in quite well, and not to mention so many lovely pictures to scrap now!

Well, here is my first layout of the year. This is inspired by Twisted Sketches #84, which has a wintery twist this time. These pictures of Zareef came up first thing on my mind. These were taken during our ski trip up at Mount Hotham, VIC. It was the first time Zareef and Zara ever seen and played with snow! Although we were caught in a blizzard, we did get lots of fresh snow! The kids love it, even though it took us half an hour to bundle them up, and they only spent 10 minutes outside! We'll definitely go again this year, but this time we'll make sure we are kept warm.

Here is for more scraping in 2011 and beyond!!
