It's almost Friday, Yippieeee!!! Today's layout is inspired from ARTastic food theme challenge, scrapping a picture from our New Zealand trip last summer. We were having brunch on top of Mt Ruapehu, the highest cafe in North Island (or New Zealand?). Hubby took this lovely picture of our cuppa.. lovely lovely day that was...
I used Let's Capture These Sketches Sketch #127 for this layout. Love the simplicity of this sketch, which inspired me to keep this layout simple and clean. I had fun playing with bubble wrap, stamping and doodling for this one. It kinda reminded me of high school. Plus, it was a quickie too :)
Thanks for visiting.. :)

Love Love Love
Well, it's February people! And most challenges are all about LOVE :) Here's one for ARTastic challenge. February brings a challenge based on Heart & Soul painting by Brenda York. The criteria this is red hearts, B&W photo and red monotone with a touch of green. I used Lets' Capture These Sketches #118 for this layout..
I re-scrap this photo cause I love it so much. It is really simple, but I like how it turned out.. :)
Thank you for visiting. Hope you are having a great weekend so far!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Hellooooooooooo Everyone! It seems like ages since I blogged and literally, scrapped! We were occupied with Eid Mubarak preparations and celebration. Plus, my brothers were here all the way from Malaysia, so spent weekends travelling around Victoria. Oh I missed scrapping.. and this weekend is nothing but staying at home and scrap... :)
So here is my layout to share.. It's inspired by ARTastic September Challenge, which comes from the painting by Van Gogh's Almond Blossom. The criteria this time is to use a blue background, white flowers and white/brown title. I just love the background paper from SSF.. a tiny bit of blue sky, perfect for these pictures of rainbows we caught in Bondi Beach, Sydney. I use Sketchy Thursdays Sketch 9.8 for this layout.
Some Prima white flowers.. gotta love em!
I also found out I won From Screen to Scrap August challenge and runner up at ARTastic!!! Fantabulous way to start the month! ;)
Thanks for visiting.. I missed reading all your lovely comments :)

PLAY!
Another layout to share today.. This layout is inspired by ARTastic August challenge. This month painting is The Playing Claude Renior by Auguste Renoir. The criteria for the challenge is to include ribbon, a photo of a child or a child playing, and some paint or create your own background. I used Sketchy Thursday Sketch 8.11 for this one....
The splash of paint didn't come out as I like, but splatters are splatters.. you can't control them! It looks like blood! haha.. But I like the contrast against the bright yellow.. and hope you all like it...
Please Mr Sunshine come out again! :) Thanks for visiting!

My Boy of Wonders
Horray horray weekend is here... And don't you love first day of the month? Lots of new & fresh scrappy challenges out. So, here's the first one for ARTastic April inspiration, which came from Debbie Adam's Autumn Wonder painting. The bonus criteria this time is to include clouds, tree and use autumn colors.
Yes, autumn is here! I am so used of using fall instead of autumn, so it's a bit arkward saying autumn!! :)) In this layout I used Basic Grey Indian Summer PP that I had a long long time ago. The rich and gorgeous color made it hard for me to incorporate in layouts before but in this one, it is just perfect!
This layout is based on Twisted Sketches #94, with a Glitter twist this time. I doodled some stickles around the layout... see if you can spot them ;) And I just love this picture, Zareef looks so cute! This is picture of us laying around at Port Arthur Heritage site.. awesome!
Yes, he never stops.. just full of wonders!
Again, I am using more Kaiserkraft wooden flourish. They are always so gorgeous, always can't resist buying more of them. I think I need to restock now ;) Notice I added some stickles to the leaves, so it will mimic autumn leaves.
Butterflies always added life to the layout, don't you think? :)

I love you because...
Hey hey hey, people! Hope you are having a fantastic Monday. Mine was a bit slow, as Mondays always are :)) Here is another triple combo layout I like to share. The layout was created using Sketchy Thursdays Sketch 3.03. It is a great multi-photos sketch, perfect for what I want to do here.
The theme of the layout comes from These Are A Few of My Favorite Things challenge. This time it's all about your favorite features. It can be something you like about yourselves or other people. For me, of course it's all about my kids. I love how they are just such a joy to us; cheeky, fun and always make us happy. I also love the way they like to have fun in front of the camera. Just priceless!
The design is again from ARTastic March challenge, as an inspiration from the 'Circus Horse' painting by Marc Chagall. I just love the fun and circus-y criteria of the challenge, as it really fits the pictures of my kids clowning around. The criteria is to use bright colors (Yeap, love bright colors), where these SSF Paper Crush is purrrrfect! Next is to include animals, at least 3 circles and a horse. Can a zebra count as a horse? He he..
These wild animal stickers are really really cute, aren't they? Love how they compliment the pictures!
Hope you enjoyed this one.. I know I enjoyed creating it! Come again soon for another reveal of an almost forgotten layout!

A little bit of doodling going on in this layout.. Just some outlining of the stickers and letter. I think it helps to make everything pops out. And I love things to pop out to have the 3D effects.

You're the coolest
Another layout to share... A great challenge at ARTastic challenge blog, which is to create a layout based on 'The Circus Horse' painting by Marc Chagall. The criteria are to use bright colors, include animals and at least 3 circles in your project. Plus bonus of 4 points if we include a horse (which I don't have here). Those are great combo, don't you think?
It is also based on Creative Scrappers Sketch #144. It is a simple one, really. I heart these bright and cheerful Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers. It seems that I had them for ages! I am trying to discipline myself to also used papers from my stash, and not only using new papers. Zareef looks so cool in his sunnies, doesn't he?
Some close-up. Glad that the stickers for the title matched perfectly with the pics!
Have a great week ahead.. Happy scrapping.. March is here, so does new exciting monthly challenges. :)))

Lets Capture These Sketches - Wonder boy
I have been invited to be April Guest Designer for Capture These Sketches. Remember my Sleepy, Silly and Happy challenges? Guess what? I won February's Snow White challenges grand prize!!! So, they asked me to join in their team for the month of April. How fun is that!
Here's my layout based on Calia's Sketch #31. Some cute photos of Zareef showing off his funky hairstyle, while smirking at the camera. I am misting again, this time I am playing with the title. I misted the alphas, then drew the outline myself. I kinda like how that turned out.. :)) Do check out the site and join in the sketches!!

And I am also glad that this layout won the random prize from March ARTastic challenge!! Yey, more goodies on the way... :)))

that look
It has been a while since my last entry, I have been busy, plus we just got back from a brief holiday at Pangkor Island last weekend. It was a great and relaxing break for the whole family! Here I would like to share a layout I did yesterday. The layout was inspired by ARTastic March challenge, which is an Art Nouveau poster by Alphonso Muscha. I love everything about this poster; the cholocatey-pink color scheme, the intricate flowery details and the circular frame around the lady.
There are bonus criteria of using a photo cutout, make a halo out of flowers and use Art Neaveau style (whatever that is.. hehe). So I scrapped this "mysterious" picture of Zara, and using the doiley that was used to masked a previous layout. I am misting again, and loving the effect; and with the combination of the flowery rub-ons, I got the "Reverie" feeling (I think).
April is gonna be a month full of activities!!! Scrap-It-Lah is having its first anniversary and we have lots of fun challenges in tow. Do visit us next month to find out more! Also my first reveal with Sketchabilities will be on April 15. Plus, I am also guest designers for 2 other blogs in April. Busy month for me!! :)) Do check it out next week!! Till then, have a nice weekend!!

peaceful badak air
One more layout I did a while back.. this one for ARTastic February challenge. It was inspired by Mary Cassatt's painting, The Bath. Check out the site, it is very interesting and has a lot of monthly giveaways! It is a painting of a mother bathing her child, but for me, I scrapped this picture of my hubby and friends lying down in the icy water of Janda Baik. I am inspired by the soft pastel colors of the painting. I like to depict the peacefulness and serenity of the painting, similar to this picture. I keep the colors soft and the layout simple.. I don't usually do soft colors, so I have limited pastel-y stash.. :) Hope you enjoy it.. TFL!!

Say Cheese!
It's a long weekend for me, and it means more scrapping time! I am so happy that I completed 3 layouts yesterday. Here is one of them.. I bumped into this interesting challenge blog, ARTastic, which use painting or art to inspire scrapbook layouts. That is a great idea, isn't it? So, I tried their January challenge, which is based on Pro Hart's Floral #2. I love bright colors and love flowers so here is what I came up with. Too bad that I missed their deadline! I didn't know that the challenge is already closed for January. Oh well, I had fun doing this layout anyway and love the inspiration.
I cut up almost all of the My Little Shoebox floral papers and layer them all up! Love the pastel colors too, and how it fit with the pictures :) This layout is based on Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #183. Great sketch again, but I simplify the sketch a bit and did not incorporate the wavy outline of pictures.
