You & Me

Happy mid week everyone! 4 more days before hubby coming home, yeayyy!!!! Here is another layout I would like to share, this time inspired by Twisted Sketches #93. The twist this time is swirl...It also fits Scrap Whispers Girlie Girl challenge #95. Here I scrap a picture of me with my lovely daughter, Zara down near a secluded Tassie beach.

I am using Scrapbook Nook Feb kit again. These Webster's Pages are just gorgeous, so I tried to keep the layout simple again. Lots of pretty embellies in this one, and kinda happy how sweet the layout turned out to be :)))

Always love love Prima flowers.. they make anything looks pretty! Like how these roses matches the flowers in the PP

Another favorite of mine.. Kaiserkraft wooden flourish... Love them!

Used lots of laces.. pinched them a bit to create texture.. Love the Kaiserkraft crouchet doilies too!! So many pretty things, right?

Thanks for visiting!!!! :)))) Your comments mean a lot to me!!

Like a kangaroo!

I wanna share another layout I did yesterday. It was a quick one, so it is a simple one too. I used Scrapbook Nook March kit, which I love love so much! Especially love the Crate Papers collection, just perfect for my little girl! :)

This layout is based on Sketchy Thursday Sketch 3.24. A great sketch, perfect for these pictures of Zara jumping like a kangaroo while waiting for Puffing Billy train at the Yarra Valley... "Look mummy, I am a kangaroo!" :)))

I used these lovely frame transparency, hence the shiny reflective on the pictures. Sorry for the poor quality photos.. Daylight almost over... will be worse next week, yikes! Did I tell you yet how much I love this kit? hehe

Added some bling-bling  so the layout can 'shine' a bit..

Best Mates

Happy weekend everyone!!! I just got back from a field trip down at Cape Liptrap.. awesome outcrops at the sea cliffs and thankful that we got a bit of sunshine too. Here is one of the cool outcrop there.. fascinating even to a non-geologist I think! :))

Ok, back to the other fun stuff... scrapbooking! Wanna share a layout I did today, based on Let's Capture These Sketches #75. I scrapped these pictures of my kids with Zara's best mate, Aria during our last playdate picnic at the Royal Botanic Garden. They looked so cute together!! Plus, these papers from Cosmo Cricket Togetherness collection are just so cute and fun too!!

The chipboard stickers are also so cute! The rabbits are just perfect for picnic in the garden, right? :)))

Used a lot of bead swirls to express sense of movement of the butterflies... Love how it tie everything together!

Thanks for visiting!!!! Hope I will have some scrappy hours tomorrow too :))

Hair Buddy

Hello Hello!! Another layout to share with ya all...this time it's for Scrap Whispers Challenge #94, which is to use at least 20 buttons in your project. Yes, 20!! It seems like a lot, but it's actually not so bad.. In this layout of my boys taking pictures together after a really 'sophisticated' haircut (DIY of course, LOL), I scattered the buttons all over the layout. I like how it kinda tie everything together, and fits the fun theme :))

The layout is inspired by Pixie Dust Paperie March challenge.. Love the sketch, but I used 3 photos instead of one for this one. Still it honors the sketch, I think! I am using SSF Paper Crush collection again. Love love the brightness and cheerfulness of these papers.. perfect for these pictures too. Aren't they cute together? he he...

Glad how well the lace and button works together. I used up all of the red lace!! Love them a lot,  been using them like forever!!... Need to hunt for more lace? *Wink*

Thanks for visiting!

Cherish Always

How was your Monday, everyone? Mine was not so bad... Here is another layout I did on Sunday. This one is for Creative Scrappers #147 sketch. I don't know why but most sketch sites have circles on their sketches this week and this is one of them.. :) Here is a picture of my hubby and me, also at Tasmania's east coast.. ahhhh... those lovely white beaches. Me loving the picture too.. kinda romantic.. he he... I guess these papers from Kaiserkraft reminded me of the sandy beaches and clear turquoise water too.

Made this flowers from ribbons and buttons... inspiration from me friend Lynda... thank you for the tips, dearie!! Quite easy to make too.. :))

These Kaiserkraft wooden flourish are just gorgeous! It really stands out in this layout... lovely!

Used some rose laces (love these!!) and some matching trims.. they are my faves!

Hope you all like it too!

Top of the World

Hello Hello!! Hope you like my new look ;) It seems like a while since I update my blog. I was busy relaxing down the Great Ocean Road last long weekend. It was really beautiful indeed.. the limestone cliffs are magnificent!! Although I have to say that the beaches can't compare to Tassie East Cost :))))

I want to share one of the layout I did this weekend. It was a lovely warm weekend, and I did get to do lots of scrapping.. yeay! This layout is for From Screen 2 Scrap March challenge. This month poster inspiration is from the movie 'Vertigo'. The bonus criteria includes an orange background, a black silhouette figure and Spirograph or spiral shapes in the layout.

I knew the exact picture to scrap for this, which is a great shot of hubby jumping at one of Tasmania's gorgeous beaches. I have to say this weekend is me getting out of my comfort zone, where I used embelies and techniques I won't normally used... such as brads, stamping and rub-ons. I rarely used rub-ons in layouts but I forgot how beautiful they are if applied with the right design :)))

This layout used Twisted Sketches #92, but I rotate it so that it will fit with the picture. The twist is time is brads (Yikes!) Overall, I like how this turned out but I still think there are something missing. I don't know what, but not 100% happy with it.. :)) But hope you like it nevertheless...

Some star brads I used in this layout.. think they compliment the layout nicely..

Got a bit messy this weekend with some misting and stamping..

Till next time.. have a great week ahead..

Some Good News and Spring Bloom

Hey Peeps... It was a really busy day for me, one whole day of meetings and discussions! But I have a great news to share with ya'all.. I got selected as a Design Team for Sketchabilities! Yeayyyyy!!!! I really enjoyed her sketches, so being part of the team was a great plus!!! Thank you so much Karan for this opportunity, again!!! :))))) Head over there and join in the fun.. Trust me, you will love her sketches too!!!!

Here is a layout I like to share a layout I did a long time ago, I almost forgot about it! First of all, I never did a layout that is soo yellow as this! Haha.. :) I wanted to accentuate the pretty yellow tulips in the picture. I just love these beautiful yellow flowers stickers that I had in my stash since 2 years ago!!! I am glad that I finally get to use them. Plus, the background paper is also ohh soo gorgeous too!! :)

Here is a layout I did using Pencil Lines Sketches. This is one of my favorite shot from our trip to The Tulip Festival last spring up at The Dandenong Ranges. Oooohhh, the tulips there are just so lovely, that I took a few pictures every couple of steps! Poor my hubby got to "entertain" my excitement over flowers and dutifully took shots after shots after shots :))

This is perfect for you guys on the opposite side of the world, as spring is here, right? It's autmun down under, heading towards winter (Yikes!)

Some close ups of the layout. The yellow flowers stickers are just gorgeous, isn't it?

I stickled the journaling card gold. It kinda look like a sunflower! Ha ha

The butterflies and the the bugs somehow give life to the layout. :))

Thanks again for visiting!!! Heading off to Great Ocean Road this coming long weekend. Let's hope for a perfect weather!!! C ya!

I love you because...

Hey hey hey, people! Hope you are having a fantastic Monday. Mine was a bit slow, as Mondays always are :)) Here is another triple combo layout I like to share. The layout was created using Sketchy Thursdays Sketch 3.03. It is a great multi-photos sketch, perfect for what I want to do here.

The theme of the layout comes from These Are A Few of My Favorite Things challenge. This time it's all about your favorite features. It can be something you like about yourselves or other people. For me, of course it's all about my kids. I love how they are just such a joy to us; cheeky, fun and always make us happy. I also love the way they like to have fun in front of the camera. Just priceless!

The design is again from ARTastic March challenge, as an inspiration from the 'Circus Horse' painting by Marc Chagall. I just love the fun and circus-y criteria of the challenge, as it really fits the pictures of my kids clowning around. The criteria is to use bright colors (Yeap, love bright colors), where these SSF Paper Crush is purrrrfect! Next is to include animals, at least 3 circles and a horse. Can a zebra count as a horse? He he..

These wild animal stickers are really really cute, aren't they? Love how they compliment the pictures!

A little bit of doodling going on in this layout.. Just some outlining of the stickers and letter. I think it helps to make everything pops out. And I love things to pop out to have the 3D effects.

Hope you enjoyed this one.. I know I enjoyed creating it! Come again soon for another reveal of an almost forgotten layout!

Yes, she is!

Ahhhh... too bad that weekend is almost over.. again! Why oh why we only have 2 days? Plus, the weather was gorgeous!!! After all the rain and clouds and cold, the warm weather and blue sky was really welcomed! I did not have much time scrapping this weekend as I was busy lazying outside instead :)

Here is one layout I did yesterday, this one is a 3 in 1 combo challenge. There are so many challenges to join that I don't have time to do all of them!!! (Yeah, me lazy too.. he he) The sketch comes from Pencil Lines Sketches #227.

The theme of the layout comes from Scrap The Girls March challenge. They have a bunch of great quotes from Kobi Yamada to choose as an inspiration and title of your project. Check it out, they are amazing quotes, and I am inclined to pick and scrap a few more out of the quotes. For this layout, I picked the quote "she must be something special, she is!". Yup, my girl Zara is absolutely special to us. She is looking sweet here within the blooms at The Tulip Festival last spring.

For the design, I am joining Scrapbookers Anonymous challenge, which is to include at least 7 flowers on your layout. Eazy peezy, right???!! I love to add flowers in my layout and this layout is a perfect place for lots and lots of them. Here I am using combination of Kaiserkraft and Prima flowers. Just lovely!

Some close up of the flowers and other embellies. I tried to keep the colors to pink and white theme, so it will be sweet like Zara!

Added some chipboard birdie and a key. Also love that Kaiserkraft wooden fluorish.... and of course more bling-bling :))

Thanks again for visiting... Have a great week ahead.. :)))))

You're the coolest

Another layout to share... A great challenge at ARTastic challenge blog, which is to create a layout based on 'The Circus Horse' painting by Marc Chagall. The criteria are to use bright colors, include animals and at least 3 circles in your project. Plus bonus of 4 points if we include a horse (which I don't have here). Those are great combo, don't you think?

It is also based on Creative Scrappers Sketch #144. It is a simple one, really. I heart these bright and cheerful Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers. It seems that I had them for ages! I am trying to discipline myself to also used papers from my stash, and not only using new papers. Zareef looks so cool in his sunnies, doesn't he?

Some close-up. Glad that the stickers for the title matched perfectly with the pics!

Have a great week ahead.. Happy scrapping.. March is here, so does new exciting monthly challenges. :)))
