Freedom

Weekend is here! Yeay!! Looking forward to watch a musical tomorrow :) I did this layout yesterday when I was baby-sitting sick Zareef for another day. It is inspired by Scrapping the Music "Freedom" challenge. I used some of the lyrics as the journaling, it is quite inspiring and kind of my words to Zara.

I also joined ScrapFIT Step Class #6 "The Negative Zone" challenge. I stamped out a couple of butterfly in the papers to get some negative zone effect. It wasn't that easy as if you messed up, there's no second chance! But it is a great way to use punchers, will keep this technique in mind for future :) I used Sketchabilities Sketch #74 for this layout. I strayed away from layering and keep it clean and simple for once :)

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting!

Infinity & Beyond

Tummy bug, tummy bug.. go away! It's round two in da house, rounding back to Zareef :( Hope it stops with him now... (or I'll be next?!!) So, I stayed home to take care of him today. What else to do other than scrapping, right?

I did this layout inspired by Once Upon A Sketch "Friends" theme sketch. I scrapped this picture of hubby and our close friends having a blast in Gold Coast.

I joined Bird Is The Word "Beyond" challenge. I don't know why but Infinity & Beyond comes to mind (I am a Disney's fan after all) and it kinda fits the picture. I am also joining ScrapFIT long title challenge. I am not sure if my title is considered long, but oh well just for sharing anyway :)

Love how the scrunched layers looked :) Did you spy the hidden journaling? This is my first time doing hidden journaling... It's kind of cool when I don't want to "mess" the space with my messy handwriting LOL

Thanks for visiting!!

Birthday season?

Hello hello! I just got back from Zumba after more than a month absence.. Well, I'm super burned out but had lots of fun!

I don't usually do cards, but I do sometimes to give away for birthdays etc. This week I made 3 cards! I'm getting a hang of making cards, it is way quite easy and fun. The first one is for my hubby.. I always love these papers and I think gold suits him :) I used Got Sketch? #147 for this card.

Another card I made is for my son's best mate, Leto. His birthday is only one day after my hubby. I am inspired by The Lollipop Ladies Fantales challenge. Basic colours; red, blue yellow... perfect for a boy's card :) I used Frosted Designs Card Sketch #22 for this card.

Hope you enjoy the cards.. will save the other card for later.. :) Thanks so much for visiting!

Wild Ones

Hi everyone.. Weekend is ending.. :( We celebrated hubby's birthday on Saturday with a nice lunch and watched Disney on Ice (not his choice, just happened to fall on his birthday! LOL)

Anyway, I did a layout today. I totally abused the papers and tried to make it look a bit grunge to no success. I was inspired by Show Us Your Stuff July challenge, which is from a photo of an interesting typewriter. The paper I used matched the theme perfectly. I used PageMaps embellies sketch contest for this one (Check it out.. great prize!!)

I am also joining Scrap It With a Song "Wild Ones'. This picture is from our recent adventure to New Zealand, where we took the plunge into Lake Taupo. It was a crazily insane experience, one which I didn't regret at all!

Have a great week, everyone! Thanks so much for visiting...
