Happy Monday, everyone! Continuing from Sunday, it has been a wet and cool the whole day. What a way to officially end summer, right? (Not that we had any 'real' summer, hehe) I would like to share another layout I quickly did yesterday, just before sundown. I scrambled this up within an hour, just rushing this through before dark so this one is a bit simple.
This one is based on Pixie Dust Paperie February challenge, which is to create a project based on a sketch provided. Love this simple sketch, so much room to play around! I am using these rich colored papers from Kaiserkraft. Simply love that blue paterned paper that I want it to be a central part of the layout. Here is a picture of my family with my mom and brothers together, right before we took off to Melbourne :))
Guess what I used to mat the picture here? Yup, it's a Guess cloth tag. It is so pretty to be thrown away so I kept it. I'm glad I did as I get to use it here, and it kinda match with the whole theme too.. :)))
Added a lot of laces and trims as one of the main element from the sketch. Don't you just love it when things in the stash worked out to compliment each other? Most of the time, I have to scratch my head to get things together!
I am using this Family theme chipboard again. Yeah, boring title but I can't think of anything more creative! Plus this chipboard fits into the layout hehe..
I have to tell you, Pixie's kits are so yummy. Check out their sneaky peeky of their March kit.. I can't wait to see the kit and what their talented designers did with it!!! Plus, they are having a Pixie GIVEAWAY! This gorgeous Pixie October Kit "Fall in Love" is up for grab for one lucky winner. So don't waste time and head over there for a chance to win.
Have fun!!!!!

Hello! My name is...
Hello everyone! It is a wet and cool Sunday, staying at home and sleeping all day is tempting! But I managed to create this layout, based on a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. This is my first time joining this challenge, but the good sketch and the yummy enticing goodies tempted me to try this out.
So here it is, a layout of our lil princess. I am using these super cute papers from Bo Bunny Crazy Love collection. Just gorgeous colors! Pink goes perfectly well with chocolate, and pink is my and Zara's favorite colors :)) Love love this pic of Zara. Doesn't she looks cheeky? She seems to be saying Hello everybody! he he..
The wordings on the journaling card. Yes, that is what she always call herself sometimes, Zara Dora Princess. I think she can't decides which name she likes, so she uses all of them! Plus she repeatedly asks everyone, "What is your name?" although she knows the answer already.. ha ha
More cute chipboard stickers from Bo Bunny. They are super cute, I have to resist not to use all of them!
Thanks for visiting again.. :))

Yahoo!
Yaahoooo... it's Saturday!!! It was a relaxing and scrappy day today :))) I was excited when I finally received my February 2011 kit from Scrapbook Nook that I wasted no time in using them. Don't know why I never use Websters Pages products before because they are bee-you-tee-ful!!! Gorgeous gorgeous papers, but I am clueless at first on how to start!! Since the papers are already beautifully designed, I know that I have to keep it simple, just so I don't "spoil" the papers.. ha ha.
Here is one of the layout I did today using the kit, inspired by Twisted Sketches #89. The twist this time is pins, which is perfect since the kit comes with these cute heart pins :))) Hope that I did the paper justice.. he he...This picture is one of the most successful of our many jumping shots. Everyone was up in the air at the same time, and with style too. Love Zareef's flip at the back, it's his own jumping shot style. Glad that shipment of my fav Prima flowers and bling-blings are here too!! Super Yahooooo!!!!
Our 'family name'... zazamazu, which is first 2 letters of each of our names. :)) Glad that I finally have this great Martha Stewart butterfly punch too! (Yes, lots of new stuffs!!)

1st mini of the year ~ Spring Festival
I still have one more reveal up my sleeves..... Introducing my first mini album of the year!! I am certainly glad that I am creating minis again. With tons of pics to scrap, minis are great to capture most of pics in one go!
This simple mini is of our last trip to The Tulip Festival at the Dandenong Ranges last spring. Lots of beautiful pictures of pretty flowers. One downside of mini album is that they are mini, which means less space for anything! It was a pity that I have to chop the pretty flowers out of the pics to make they fit, but nevertheless it turns out fine.
Here is the cover of the album; Spring festival. Using lots of flowers in this one, of course, right? It is an album of spring blooms! I used Bella mini chipboard album, about 3"X3" in size. Yeap, pretty tiny, right? Due to its size, I decided to keep the chipboard as it is, but just misted and stamped over it, and after that added the embellies..
Here is how it is fanned out...
The flip through of the album. I keep the back of the chipboard to mirror the next page, and added no embellies that can distract the main page.
Pages 1-5... My hubby was not really happy that I scrapped his picture in the flower. But I do think he looks cute! :)
Minis are always fun, hope to create more of them, as I surely do have lots of unused chipboard albums ready to be decorated. Have a scrappy day!

X for Xcitement!
Another reveal today.. this time a simple layout, one I whipped last minute late Sunday evening, salvaging the remaining minutes of daylight.. hehe.
This one was inspired by a sketch from Lets Capture These Sketches. I also join in Scrapbookers Anonymous February challenge, which was to include as many Xs in your layout. Cool, as I don't think I ever used X in my layout before! These pictures of my kids jumping are pure Xcitement. I added another X so I have 2 Xs!
Love these bright color papers from Nikki Sivils, and really glad that I get to destash these papers! (Yeap, more room for new papers :)) Aren't they pretty? At first I had a hard time finding an appropriate background paper. At last I decided to use black cardstock. As I don't like plain cardstock as a background, I painted the edges white. Love how it looked like a blackboard, and I think black makes the papers pop out more too..
Glad to find thickers that match the paper colors..
Some close up shots.. Sorry for the poor quality picture. As I said, it was getting dark when I was finished with this layout :)

SIL Feb challenge ~ wonder*us
It has been a slow start to the week. It felt like freezing when I was talking to the train station this morning. Where has our summer gone to? I never experienced summer in Melbourne before, but people said it is unusually cool this summer, for which I am glad :) Yeap, for a person from a country hot all year round, I don't like hot weather!
Anyway, here is another layout I did yesterday. This one is for Scrap-It-Lah February challenge. It is an interesting challenge for Valentine month, which is to create a lovey-dovey layout without using any reds, pinks or any shades in between. SIL has been my first DT assignment, and of course is special to me. The DTs are my friends and love what they are creating for SIL!! Keep it up, girls!
It is a tricky but clever challenge, as most of lovey-dovey stuffs that I have are in reds and pinks. Nevertheless, I managed to produce this layout using blue and tan theme colors. I kept it simple so the Kaiserkraft background paper can shine, second to our picture of course :)
Lovin these chipboard stickers I bought (cheap) from SpotLight, perfect for this theme.
The butterflies added life to the layout, which are always my favourite embellies :) Also added a bead string to add texture.
The title wonder*us or wonderous means marvellous or great. Also can means wonder-us, like wonderman.. he he he.. Yeap, I am making these up :)
Here to a better Tuesday! Until tomorrow for the next reveal :))

Daddy's Soft Spot
Too bad Sunday is almost over.. :( It has been quite a productive weekend for me, in scrapping term I mean. I made 4 layouts plus a mini album! Nothing better than being a bum, staying home all weekend long, busy in my scrapbook nook. Bliss! Plus the kids don't bother me much as they used to while we were in Malaysia, which is always good :)
This layout is inspired from Twisted Sketch #88. The twist for this layout is "soft". Here I scrapped a picture of hubby with Zara, who is always his little sweetheart. Zara truly hits his soft spot. This picture was taken at the famous bath houses of Brighton Beach.
I am glad to finally used these interesting Cosmo Crickets papers. Love the subdued hues of blues and green. It kinda make the picture to pop out more.
Love these cute bird lines. The cutting was quite intricate but love how it compliment the layout here.
A lot of paper layering. I am using the technique I love best; distressing and inking the edges to create a 3D illusion.
Have a great week ahead!

Friends Forever
It has been a relaxing Saturday today. Mostly chillin' in the house and entertained a couple of friends at home. This also means that I get to do more scrapping today :))) This particular layout is based on a lovely sketch from Sketchabilities #41. I decided to capture pics from our farewell dinner with our good childhood friends of Shah Alam, right before our move to Melbourne. Those friends are hard to replace, we sorely missed them and the fun gatherings we frequently held.
I am again using this chocolatey pink theme papers that I have been using over and over again. I lost count on how many layouts and minis I made using this set.
Here are close-up of the chipboard stickers from Basic Grey. Love how they match with the papers, and chocolate and pink are almost a great combo!
One more day of weekend to go.. Enjoy!!!!

V-day layout - Family LOVE
Happy Valentine's Day!!! We don't really celebrate V-day, as it is against our believes and plus it is too commercialized. But to all that do celebrate, hope you guys have a fantastic (and romantic) times :))))
As it turns out, this layout I did last weekend fits Valentine's Day theme. Here's a layout of the loves of my live, my son and daughter :) They fill my life with laughter (and also screaming) and they totally complete our lives!
I had these fantastic pink, black and white ribbons and stickers for a long long time, just that I haven't got the opportunity to use them yet. When I see these pictures, I know straight away what to do.. and love the results of incorporating those bright colors ribbons and stickers!
Thanks for visiting! Happy V-Day!

Holiday & Layout - Farewell
Hi everyone!!!! After a wonderful week at Tasmania and a couple of business trips to Perth later, I finally get to scrap. Not to mention, Zareef started Prep in primary school last week (yes, his first day of school, yeayyy!!!), and it has been a pretty hectic week indeed. But playing catch up, I did 2 layouts today!! (Which is a lot for me) :))
Anyway, Tassie was Beee-you-tee-full!!! We really enjoyed the turquoise water, fine white beaches, breathtaking views & sceneries and of course our motorhome too!! Ahhhh, wish we can have more time there.. Here is one of my favourite picture from Tassie. More pictures will come soon, hopefully in layouts (or mini albums)! :)))
And here is a layout I did today.. Really love this papers from Kaiserkraft, and it fits this picture of us with bibik from KL International Airport. Bibik is like a part of our family and had been with us since Zara was a baby... we surely missed her, not only because she took care of the housework, but the way she cared for Zareef and Zara that no child care can compare (except my mom, of course!).
This layout is inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch #141. Thanks to my friend Lynda for all the pretty Tupperware-full of flowers you gave me.. It fits really well in this layout :))))
Thanks again for visiting.. appreciate all your support!! :)))
