Queen of our hearts

Another day, another layout. Here is one of our little princess, sweetly posing for the camera. Yeah, she knows how to pose at the camera now :) I wanted to create a purple layout to match our outfits and added some greens into the layout so that it will not be overload with purple! I think it is a nice combination. Here the layout is based on Sketchabilities Oct 15 Sketch. Love all the layering of papers in the sketch! I used mostly papers from Kaiserkraft.. love all the purple! TFL!

And I just found out that this layout won the Groovie Cover January challenge.. YEY!!

S4 Class of 2009

I've been wanting to scrap Zareef's drawings and paintings for some time, so here's my first attempt. I decided to scrap his class picture, S4 Class of 2009, together with his hand prints. I love how Zareef has his hands and feet printed every year, it is a great keepsake. I have one from S3 (2008) too and his hands has grown quite a lot! I also include the name of all his classmates so he can remember it someday. Even at 4 years old, he already has a 'girlfriend' (or so he claims)! Unfortunately, the girl is not in the picture so I have no idea how she looks like... Oh, kids nowadays!

This layout is inpired by Twisted Sketch #32. The twist this time is to use stamps, so I stamp the tag for the journaling. I keep the layout simple and concentrate on the picture and the fun stickers. For the journaling, I included the list of his classmates. TFL!!

SIL Feb Oriental Love Challenge

It's February, and what a great way to celebrate February with Oriental Love theme, with Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day around the corner. At Scrap-It-Lah this February, the challenge is simple, which is to create layouts with combincation of chinese/oriental and valentine's day/romance/love theme. It is also coincidence that Valentine's Day and CNY falls on the same day this year.

For me, I scrapped these awesome photos of Zareef kungfu fighting. He was wearing his concert attire and was really in the character during the photo shoot. That was one awesome flying kick and jump, Zareef! I used the SnC CNY kit, and love the vibrant and energetic colors of the kit, which suit the pics perfectly. Especially love the laser cut Chinese papers. The layout turned out to be 90% Chinesey and only 10% lovey-dovey.. at least I have gold hearts.. :) TFL!

Farewell Creative Scrappers ~ Satay time!

It is sad to say that this is my last layout for Creative Scrappers. It is an honor to be part of the team for 3 months and I had fun doing all the layouts for CS. Now that I don't have assignments beside the monthly SIL layouts, I feel that I am too free now. heheh... This layout is based on sketch by Monika Palowska, Sketch #89. At first I was perplexed by all the rectangles but after arranging the papers, it wasn't that bad. I love these lovely colors from Basic Grey's Indian Summer line. Here is the picture of my group from work, having lunch at Satay Kajang Taman Melati. It is tradition by the boss to treat the group with satay once in a while. TFL!
