It's a long weekend for me, and it means more scrapping time! I am so happy that I completed 3 layouts yesterday. Here is one of them.. I bumped into this interesting challenge blog, ARTastic, which use painting or art to inspire scrapbook layouts. That is a great idea, isn't it? So, I tried their January challenge, which is based on Pro Hart's Floral #2. I love bright colors and love flowers so here is what I came up with. Too bad that I missed their deadline! I didn't know that the challenge is already closed for January. Oh well, I had fun doing this layout anyway and love the inspiration.
I cut up almost all of the My Little Shoebox floral papers and layer them all up! Love the pastel colors too, and how it fit with the pictures :) This layout is based on Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #183. Great sketch again, but I simplify the sketch a bit and did not incorporate the wavy outline of pictures.

ME & ayah
Another bright and colorful layout from me. This time the sketch is from Scrapbook Challenges #182. And guess what? Pamela chose this layout as her pick of the week! Thanks Pamela, it's really an honor!!!!
I used SSF Monstrosity papers this time. Just adore those monsters.. so cute! Love how the sketch has dangling ornament with title on it, so I decided to to the same, mine with chipboard button. And I used a tree branch to hang my button. Love how that turned out too. The theme is just perfect for these pictures of Zareef with his dad, or ayah. TFL!!

Free spirit
Here is a layout I did last weekend. I love the sketch from Pencil Lines #170 and decided to play with it. I am also inspired by January challenge from Groovie Cover. This black frame that I had came to mind when I saw the cover. So I made the frame and the picture the focus of the layout, and the sketch is just perfect for this! This picture of Zara jumping in the studio is just marvelous! I am really glad Amru captured the moments well.
I am experimenting with Glimmer Mists now, and for this one I stepped out from my comfort zone and tried a bolder color. I love how it turned out! I cut out the flowers from SSF Marmalade paper and layer them up around the frame. I just love these metallic butterflies I bought from wedding hantaran store, and they are super duper cheap too!!!

Sweet Slumber
Another layout for Scrapbook Challenge, this time for Sketch #181. Coincidently, the sketch is very similar to Ed's Sketch January challenge too. So, I decided to combine those two challenges together. I've been wanting to scrap this picture of my two angels sleeping. Zareef seems to be concentrating hard on something, maybe was having a nightmare? I used these cool paper from Basic Grey, and I just love layering the flower cut-outs. Hope you like it, and have a nice weekend!

My Prince
These papers from Nikki Sivils are just marvellous!!! Look at those pink and orange and all those love.. I love this collection! There are also some leftovers for another layout or so :) Valentine's Day is coming soon, so I scrapped these snapshots of me and hubby a.k.a the prince. My scrappy friend, Jessy, has just been made DT at Sketchabilities, so I decided to try out their sketch, which is a great one too! TFL!

CS #87 - I jump!
Hi everyone! Candy Shoppe Design has a challenge to use the word "I" in any interpretation. So, for this new year, I created this layout- I jump! into life. I kinda take a leap into 2010 with full force. I also love the quotes - Live well, Laugh often & Love much. I mean, that are the essence for happiness, right? I will try to live my life to the fullest :)
This layout is of course for Creative Scrappers Sketch #87. I am playing around with some doilies and distress inks, but ended up sponging the whole doilies with ink, and I love how that turned out! It brought contrast to the whole layout. This is a picture during my trip to Borneo, one of the best jumping photos out of tenths of pictures. We jumped and we posed but this is the best one. :)

All about Zazamazu
It's been a slow week.. I didn't even scrapped last weekend!! feels like my week is incomplete :( Hope I can make it up this weekend. I want to share a tag album I did a few weeks ago. I have tons and tons of family pictures from the studio, so a family mini album is a great way to scrap a whole lot of them. I used bright colors as usual, perfect for all the pictures. If you dont know already, zazamazu is our family name.. hehe.. just combination of the first 2 letters of everyone. Thanks for dropping by!

Ohana means family
Here is a layout I did a few weeks ago, based on 52 Sketches 52 Weeks last sketch. It is sad to see their forum goes! I scrapped pictures of my family all in purple Raya costumes, which were taken at a studio. These pictures matched really well with the Basic Grey Wisteria papers. At first, I don't really know how to use the big circle flowers, but I decided to cut them out and put them on foam tapes. But they look like they are floating baloon instead. So, I mimicked the twine and leaves pattern on the paper using Stickles. That ought to ground them and tie all the flowers together. Then I used some liquid pearl to pop out the individual small flowers, kinda like dandelion flowers. Really love the overall feel of this layout, and I love purple! :) TFL!!

Baby girl mini album
Here is a simple mini album I did for a friend who just have a cute baby girl. The girl has just the nicest name, Naomi Mary Thomas. Isn't that a lovely name? Hope the mummy likes this album, so she can document cute pictures of Naomi. It is just a simple accordian album I did using a cardstock. I used some of my leftover papers from Zara's mini album. What a great way to de-stash too.. :))

My Boo turns 2!
I can't believe it! My little 'Boo' (like Monsters Inc's Boo) turns 2 yesterday! She has grown into a fine and sweet girl. At 2, she loves looking cute & pretty, loves nice clothes, loves to dance and sing, and is just a sweetheart. Here is layout of my Boo.. she is looking so sweet in her baju kurung. I used non traditional colors of girly layouts, but I think it fits the pictures well. Don't you just love those prima flowers?!! This layout is inspired by Scrap The Girls January sketch challenge.
